1. Overview & Zero Data Collection
CManager ("we", "our", or "the App") is a Powerful Dual-Panel File Manager built for Android devices, featuring side-by-side directory management, archive browsing, media previewing, and a built-in Powerful Text Editor. Protecting your privacy is fundamental to how CManager is designed.
CManager operates 100% locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, upload, store, share, or sell any of your personal information, files, photos, videos, audio, documents, or directory structures on any external or cloud servers.
2. Permissions We Request & Why
CManager only requests permissions that are strictly necessary to perform file management actions initiated by you:
- All Files Access (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE) & Storage Permissions (READ/WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): Required for CManager's core functionality as a Dual-Panel File Manager. It allows you to browse folders across internal and external storage, copy, move, rename, or delete files across panels, manage the local Recycle Bin, inspect ZIP/APK archives, and edit text files using the built-in Powerful Text Editor. All file operations occur strictly on your device.
- Install Unknown Apps (REQUEST_INSTALL_PACKAGES): Requested contextually only when you manually tap an
.apk file inside the file manager to install it via the official Android System Package Installer. CManager never downloads or installs any application silently in the background.
- Post Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Requested contextually on Android 13 and above only when you hide or minimize an active file operation (such as Copy, Move, or Delete) so you can monitor real-time progress in your device's notification panel.
- Internet Access (INTERNET): Used strictly to load and display our official Privacy Policy and Terms of Service pages inside the in-app viewer. It is never used to upload or transmit your files or personal data.
3. Local Preferences & Thumbnail Cache
All app settings—including your selected UI theme, startup panel paths, bookmarks, navigation history, search history, and pinned text files—are stored locally in your device's private app storage.
Media and APK icon thumbnails are cached locally on your device to provide smooth scrolling across both file panels and are never transmitted externally. You can clear your history or app data at any time.
4. Crash Reports & Support Emails
If CManager encounters an unexpected crash, an error log containing basic diagnostic details (Device Manufacturer/Model, Android Version, and stack trace) is displayed locally on your screen.
Crash logs are never sent automatically. A report is only shared with us if you explicitly tap "Report Crash" or "Contact Support" and choose to send the email through your own email application.
5. Third-Party Services & Zero Tracking
CManager does not integrate any third-party advertising networks, analytics SDKs, or behavioral trackers. Your files and usage activity remain completely private on your device.
6. Your Control & Permission Revocation
You retain full control over your device permissions at all times. You may revoke storage, package installation, or notification permissions anytime through your device's Android Settings → Apps → CManager → Permissions, or uninstall the App to remove all locally stored preferences.
7. Children's Privacy & Policy Updates
Because CManager does not collect any personal data from any user, it does not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13. Any future updates to this Privacy Policy will be published on this page with an updated effective date.
